The Successful Ascent of the Mountaineering Team of Ahepa Maritime Chapter HJ-45 St' Nicholas on the Second Highest Mountain of Greece, Smolika, at 2,637 Meters Altitude
As the President of the Ahepa Maritime Chapter HJ-45 St' Nicholas, I would like to announce to you with great pride the conquest of the second highest mountain in Greece, after Olympus, Smolika at 2,637 meters, by the mountaineering team of the Ahepa Maritime Chapter, the organization which I took over and guided to this great achievement.
I want from the bottom of my heart to congratulate those who followed me and climbed with me to the top of Smolika.
This particular climb was a great challenge and is a remarkable feat and lifetime achievement, surpassing any personal goal for anyone.
We were an awesome team and the whole experience we had wouldn't have been the same without you.
I am really very deeply moved and proud of what we have achieved. I keep the nice memories and look forward to new adventures, excursions and conquests of other "peaks" in the future!
This beautiful experience has been captured in the documentary prepared by our team, which you can watch on the YouTube platform.
In closing, I would like to warmly thank the head of the team of certified and experienced guides-climbers, Mr. Giorgos Raios, for the valuable advice and excellent guidance throughout the expedition, which once again offered us absolute safety and confidence.
George Rayo, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
